Today is my sister P’s 40th birthday. She is remarkably calm and cool about the whole thing….I seem to remember worrying about being nearly 40 for about 3 years. As P says…’I've been saying for years now that I’m nearly 40, so it’s no big deal!’
I needed to make her a card and as usual left it far too late to really think about it.
I wanted to do a collage of her as a baby, up until now. But, when I looked for some photos, I realised that Mum has the baby pictures and it’s too late to get her to send them to me.
Ok…no problem, I’ll use some images of the years gone by to make a collage instead. So after some internet searching, I found some images…a Sindy doll, a Brownie uniform from the 70′s, a Troll, Spangles etc.
But when I started to place them on the card, I realised it looked a mess! So I ditched that idea for the end result.
I deliberately missed off the 40th bit for some reason…didn’t want to rub her nose in it!

P thinks she’s got problems wait till she gets to the big 50! I think the card is great – you always seem to come up with great ideas! Perhaps we can take a photo of mine once she’s opened it!

birthday cards that are personlized are the best in my opinion, they really come from the bottom of the heart of the sender.”.
